Court E-Filing
Court e-filing helps your firm prepare court filing packages, validate technical requirements, track service recipients, and capture stamped copies when a filing is accepted.
CaseSolo does not replace attorney review or local court rule review. The validator checks common technical requirements before live submission, but your firm is responsible for confirming local court rules and provider credentials.
What You Can Do
- Create a filing package from a case workspace.
- Add the court system, court name, case number, document reference, document format, document size, filing fee, and service recipients.
- Run rule validation before submitting.
- See PDF format, file-size, envelope-size, case-number, and electronic-service issues.
- Submit valid packages when a live e-filing provider is configured.
- See
pending_reviewwhen the package passes validation but provider credentials still need setup. - Mark filing fees as paid or waived.
- Record court acceptance, rejection, returned documents, and stamped-copy links.
Filing Statuses
draft: package is being prepared.submitted: package was sent to a configured provider.pending_review: package passed technical validation, but live provider submission needs configuration or staff review.accepted: court accepted the filing and any stamped-copy metadata was captured.rejected: court or staff rejected the package and recorded a reason.returned: a returned document was linked.filed: filing is complete.
Rule Validation
Each filing shows a rule validation panel with:
- Pass/fail status.
- Jurisdiction profile name.
- Envelope size.
- Source rule link.
- Errors that block submission.
- Warnings that require human review.
Errors must be fixed before submission. Warnings, such as confirming searchable and unlocked PDFs, should be reviewed before sending anything to court.
Provider Setup
Firm admins configure live court provider credentials in firm settings. If a provider is not configured, CaseSolo keeps the package in pending_review and records the configuration gap instead of pretending a court submission happened.
Stamped Copies
When a filing is accepted, add the stamped-copy URL or document ID. CaseSolo records the accepted filing status, links the stamped copy, and creates case activity for the audit trail.
