Office Add-In
The CaseSolo Office add-in lets your team work with live CaseSolo matter context inside Microsoft Word and Outlook.
What It Does
- Search for cases by case number, client name, email, phone, or incident details.
- Load tenant-safe matter context in the Office sidebar.
- Insert configured case fields into Word documents or Outlook email drafts.
- Insert matter snippets such as summary, treatment snapshot, insurance snapshot, and deadline snapshot.
- Generate starting drafts for demand letters, client updates, opposing-counsel emails, and matter summaries.
- Record add-in draft and insertion activity on the case.
Install
- Go to CaseSolo
Integrations > Office Add-in. - Download the manifest XML or copy the manifest URL.
- In Word or Outlook, choose
Insert > My Add-ins > Upload My Add-in. - Select the manifest file.
- Open the CaseSolo button in the Office ribbon.
- Sign in to CaseSolo if prompted.
For firm-wide deployment, a Microsoft 365 admin can upload the manifest in the Microsoft 365 admin center under custom integrated apps.
Configure Fields
Admins can choose which fields appear in the taskpane. Available fields include client contact details, incident details, attorney assignment, opposing party, insurance details, court/SOL details, value, settlement, medical totals, and latest demand or offer.
Disabled fields are hidden from the taskpane, even if the case record contains that data.
Use In Word
- Search and select a case.
- Click a field, snippet, or draft action.
- CaseSolo inserts the content at the current cursor selection.
- Review all generated language before finalizing the document.
Use In Outlook
- Open the CaseSolo add-in while reading or composing an email.
- Search and select a case.
- Insert a client update, opposing-counsel email, matter summary, or specific case field.
- Review recipients, privilege, and final language before sending.
Review Requirement
Drafts are generated from the current case record. If data is missing, CaseSolo marks the review gap instead of inventing facts. Attorneys and staff should verify all content against the case file before sending or filing.
